In collaboration with Mark Simmonds I designed the signage system for the BA Information Design's Wien Exhibition. Inspiration for the hexagon patterns was taken from Vienna's church roof. The hexagons spread out like creeping vines from the entrance of the exhibition; covering windows, floors and walls; attracting attention and drawing people towards the exhibition.
The signage was only in place for a little over 24 hours (as it was all we were only able to negotiate with the college's building staff) and so on the evening of the exhibition's private view the hexagons were removed piece by piece by the visitors; some were moved into the room of the exhibition, and others put to whatever purpose people wished! They were a must-have souvenir for the evening.
